Showcase of Champions | Featuring same-sex dance stars of international fame April 28th, 2011, 8:00pm – 11:00pm Our evening extravanganza will feature the California Championship top level Finals. See the very best same-sex ballroom couples compete for the national title! Thrill to our Show Dance event where each competing couple has the floor and spotlight to themselves! A fabulous show created and produced by the wonderful Jeff Chandler will delight you along with one or two special surprises! And there will be plenty of opportunity for competitors and friends to dance the night away. Enjoy a pre-show dinner 5:30 to 6:30 PM with a brand new catering menu (details will be posted soon) at the largest and loveliest ballroom in Oakland, CA. Hang out with your friends and get to know the community before joining the electricity of the crowd. Dinner reservations must be made by April 24. Beginning dance lessons will be offered to everyone (free to evening ticket holders) from 6:30 to 7:30 PM. At 6:30 Zoe Balfour will be teaching the elegant nightclub 2-step followed by Citabria Phillips at 7:00 teaching the fun cha-cha. For all of you who keep saytng you'll learn to dance "some day", this is your chance! The California Championiship Finals will start at 8:00 PM followed by a spectacular show and plenty of time for social dancing. This will be a truly unique evening and an event to remember. Bring your friends, your family, your appetite and your dance shoes. Be prepared to thoroughly enjoy yourselves!
